Harvard-Westlake Middle School Symphony

Madrigals is Harvard-Westlake Middle School’s premier choral ensemble. The choir consists of the school’s most accomplished vocalists in 8th and 9th grades. Madrigals is a mixed choir that performs repertoire with SATB voicing in 4-8 parts. Madrigals perform both a cappella and accompanied repertoire from a variety of genres, styles, and time periods. In addition to preparing choral repertoire for performances, Madrigals is a class at Harvard-Westlake where students learn musicianship and vocal technique. Madrigals recently earned a superior rating for sight-reading at a 2022 Southern California Vocal Association Sight Reading festival.
