Emily Reola


Emily Reola is the Director of the Harvard-Westlake Middle School Symphony. In addition to conducting the Middle School Symphony, Ms. Reola also serves as a Harvard-Westlake 7th Grade Dean. Prior to her appointment at Harvard-Westlake in 2004, Ms. Reola directed junior high and high school orchestras in the Brentwood Union Free School District in Brentwood, NY. Ms. Reola holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Duquesne University and a Master of Arts in Music Education from New York University.

Harvard-Westlake Middle School Symphony


The Harvard-Westlake Middle School Symphony is the most advanced of three orchestras on the middle school campus. The Symphony prepares and performs a wide range of challenging orchestral repertoire and also spends considerable time preparing and performing works in chamber music ensembles, chamber orchestras, concerto with orchestra, and as soloists. Members of the Middle School Symphony have been winners of multiple festivals and contests, including the Music Teachers' Association of California Solo Competition, Southern California Junior Bach Festival, Palisades Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition, and the Kiwanis Solo competition.
