Wind Ensembles

Interim Conductor | Anthony Lanzino

The CYS Wind Ensemble program contains two groups: the Wind Ensemble and Chamber Winds. Symphonic bands feature woodwind, brass and percussion instruments and play a wide variety of music that is similar to symphony orchestras but without strings. Their primary objective is to impart top-notch training to students, honing their skills and musicianship through demanding yet rewarding performances of complex musical pieces. As these students advance, they develop the confidence and musical maturity required to join the ranks of the Wind Symphony or become members of the wind section in the highly regarded CYS Advanced Orchestras.
